The
Atlanta based rock band, JaD (pronounced Jade), recently
chosen as Atlanta's Regional Cabo Wabo Band Ambassador, has
been selected to play the 2003 Atlantis Music Conference in
Atlanta, Georgia. This will be the band's 2nd year showcasing
at the conference in the 2+ years JaD has been together. Given
the reputation JaD has gained for being one of Atlanta's
hottest bands and for consistently putting on an exciting live
show, odds are high that you will enjoy their show during
Atlantis on Saturday August 2nd at 1am at 9Lives Saloon in
Little 5 Points. " JaD's show is not to be missed! They
are one of the hottest up and coming bands going." -Kathy
Gates, Conference Manager, Atlantis Music Conference.
The Elements of JaD
This seasoned and devoted group of musicians have spent years
developing their skills while gaining professional experience
in other projects before coming together to form the driven
and melodic sounds of JāD.

In a
relatively short period of time, JaD (John Stringer, James
Beale, Chris Love and Thomas Panza) has taken the Southeast
music scene by storm: winning WKLS Atlanta (96 Rock)'s Best
Unsigned Band in Atlanta contest (which provided them the
opportunity to play the main stage at Atlanta's '02 Music
Midtown); winning the regional competition for Cabo Wabo's
2003 Battle of the Bands (top 25 unsigned bands in the US -
www.cabowabo.com); finalist in the Jim Beam/Rolling Rock
Battle of the Bands; 4 live appearances on 96 Rock's morning
show; selling 2K+ copies of their debut full-length CD 'Lose
Your Mind'; and performing 100+ live dates across the
Southeast and East Coast. The band is continually building
upon its growing fan base and has crafted one of the most
powerful live shows in the South.
Get
the Facts
Described by Atlanta's PRICK Magazine (www.prickmag.com) as a
mix between STP, Living Colour, Pearl Jam and Sevendust, JaD's
music combines driving guitars, soulful vocals, and syncopated
bass and drums. The band recently gained the attention of
Atlanta veteran producer Don McCollister (Sister Hazel, Indigo
Girls, Shawn Mullins), who recorded the first two tracks of
their follow-up EP. Check out the band's website for
additional information: http://www.jadtheband.com, and be sure
to join the JaD family and support local music during Atlantis
and beyond.
